Sam, you still fabricating and selling these?
Anyone know where to buy a CAI that is actually functional and not just for looks?

u gotta custom make it for now man...
We got 2 in the works, no TBA date yet though. One standard TRUE CAI, not just tube and filter, and the other is strictly a race-only piece, utilizing a ram-air effect replacing the headlight assembly (takes a few minutes to swap back with hand tools). We got ALOT on our plate right now, but would love to start selling these soon...
FabX
true CAI?
meaning, big long tube that brings air from the outside directly, unlike the gravana CAI
so instead of it coming from the resinator spot?
it goes through that hole
So just like Sam's then? I'm confused.
yes from his description...now will it be as good as mine, of course not  jk...one good thing about mine is the filter is high up, ive gone through flooded roads and huge puddles and never had a problem...if i had the time to make one or the distributor for the parts i would make you one but im swamped with school work and my blaster right now....maybe when school gets done in 2 weeks I will see if I can hook you up with one.
sounds good, keep me informed...I'll PM you in a couple weeks.
i was thinking with the set up i have a hood scoop would be better but you need to cut a hole in the hood and i need a doner hood thats cheap to do that. then build up an air box to go around the filter. then do the locking pins to hold it all down. i like some of the scoops i have seen in Carbin Fiber. and i think a doner hood that was made from fiber glass would be ok for mock up. then buy a carbon fiber hood to make it work out. i could even make the airbox myself using the stock air box as a proto type. or do you think that would be to far in front and to the side to look good?
if it has a purpose, it does not matter whether it looks good or not. function ALWAYS equals form!
And RON, i have never seen this guy's CAI, so i couldnt say.
Thanks, I think he's got pics on his cardomain site. As for looking good vs. functionality...I'm with ya, but it sure helps if it doesn't look thrown together.Quote:

Cut a hole right where the sticker is and it'll be real simple.
