      Cylinder head needed(??), 2004 1.6

I blew the timing belt just after buying this car a couple mo's ago. Replaced valves, belt, tensioner, water pump. Now they are saying I may need new head cuz won't start, just cranks and floods, fouling out the plugs. HELP

What're they saying is wrong with the head? They should have pressure tested it before hand to know if valves aren't sealing.

saying there is compression in only one cylinder, so there may be a crack in the head.

A crack in the head big enough to cause that much compression leakage should have been obvious when the valves were being done. To me, it sounds more like the engine was reassembled out of time and trashed your new valves.
Sorry GM, the Turbo Sonic was priced too close to the Focus ST. I gots me a Ford.

doesn't appear to have damaged the valves again (whew) but I decided to order pistons, etc to replace while it is apart, so no future troubles there. Will be glad when they get done, though! I MISS MY LITTLE CAR!
