      we have already gone through this ourselves. it is not stamped sheetmetal underneath, it is very much supported by many spot-welded attachment points.

      remember, the point is to prevent the shock towers from moving independantly from each other. There is no possible chance ever that the sheetmetal can be cookie-cuttered out.

      Also, there will always be a weak point. the sheet metal in this case may be the weak point, however, the shock towers will never move independantly of each other. Original problem solved. new problem created? no, unless you want to think so.

      Good... didn't know, never had to feel around under there yet.
      I guess that's the main concern with our cars, vs the standard 3-bolt strut mounting where you can actually brace the towers properly through the strut themselves.
