We're probably going to start building some but would like to see what kind of intrest there is. We might do a group buy to kick it off with a discounted price.
Cheers!,

count me in! ive been waiting forever for some suspension components!
Kinkyllama - Im SOOO interested. Im coming from a very active Acura Legend community and the lack interest here in anything other then bodykits and other assorted riceyness is killing me. Im willing to even throw down a little Deposit/R&D money to show you Im serious. PM ME with your projections and whats up on a Aveo Specific Strut bar. Thanks
what size and solid or hollow?
Sounds great. Keep an eye out here and I'll post as there are updates. At this point I have no details...just gather intrest and figure out what it'll take on my side.Quote:

It's not really my thing, it was fabricator X, a friend of mine locally but I'm not sure if he wants to deal with it anymore. They were $130 shipped and I know a few months ago he still had a couple built.

I'm interested in Swaybars, but price is important and I know you won't sell very many quick so it's not like you can have a crapton built to get the price right.
Please try though as I'm interested. Especially in a rear bar.
As for size, 19mm is not "That" much stiffer than the 18mm which is stock on the 06+ or the 17mm that's on the 04 and 05. If you do the math, going from a 17mm to 18mm is about 33% stiffer. Think along the lines of a 20 or 21 with 2 mounting holes. so it can be adjusted.
We are talking about the rear sway bar that connects underneath strut to strut? If so, I would be interested depending on price!
count me in for either one, id like a front and rear bar 8)
It would be a set, possibly only a set. They would also be adjustable.
Here's an example of the Lacetti bars:

Hmm, that's all I have on my computer
You guys know you need to remove the front cross member to access the sway bar right?
I don't want to discourage you guys, but some might not be technically inclined to do so.
Yep...I was getting to that but wasn't sure as we haven't look into it yet. The rear bar is a piece of cake thoughQuote:

Yeah...I've been running those bars in the pic for three years now and love them.Quote:

ever see the picture of subachad racing his with lowering springs and poly sway mounts and still have all that body rollQuote:

Sorry you have to click the link, It wouldn't let me link directly to the picture. The MSP is the Blue car, that's me at Spring Mountain Motorsports Park in Pahrump NV.
The Aveo with Polyurethane front swaybar bushings, H&R Lowering Springs, same turn, same speed (about 65)

My Aveo is the bright Keylime Green Hatch you see.
Notice the Aveo having the same speed on that corner is rather impressive considering the front tires were doing entirely too much work. With swaybars, it would allow the rear to also bite in and I could probably pick up another 5mph or so which would be quicker the Protege which has an incredible suspension. My Subaru could hold 70mph around that turn with Kumho Ecstas on it.
You were pushing both cars equally as hard?Quote:

Yeah through turns most cars with street tires can carry a similar speed. The difference is how late you can brake before the turn, when you can accelerate during the turn (awd can accelerate much sooner) and how much you can accelerate once through the turn... that's where the aveo suffers.
