      Re: 4G63T

Got started on the intercooler swap today. all went well til I hit a stupid snag. When they installed the hard pipes they made cuts in the engine bay and bent some **** so the alignement is off for the stock IC mounts. Two of three work out good, the third is way off(the top bracket on the IC does not meet up with its mount spot). So that put the position of the IC off so now with it mounted the way it is, it puts the inlet side of the IC too far up against the coolant resovoir to make the soft pipe connect to it. So tomorrow I have to rebend some **** and pound **** out. Meanwhile, due to some restricions, my BOV is mounted upside down til I can get a longer hose from the recirc valve to the recirc port. Here are some pic for your enjoyment.

      IC from front of bumper:

Closeup of dilema: (again its sideways, sorry, top is this way --->)

      Re: 4G63T

All done with the IC swap other than removing the FMIC as it would require me either bending the brackets its mounted on or taking the front bumper off. I dont know how to take the bumper off (yet) and i certainly dont want to bend the brackets, so it stays for a while. Went to start the car and the battery is dead. Oh well, will jump it tomorrow as I want to just kick it now with a beer and a TV.

I don't know much about it. I believe it's a 1G, it's an older on that originally had flip-up headlights but was converted to the newer more-eclipse-looking front-end. He pulled the head off to swap it with one he had ported and polished and there was a valve stuck through the top of one of the pistons lol. The cyllinder walls were scarred so hes having it bored and stroked with bigger pistons.
Have you seen this video of this talon yet? It's dope! 746 Horsepower!!!:
