Yeah: a small, torquey 3-cyl diesel would be great. We had them available in Canada in the previous version Smart car. Maybe we'll luck out and get a diesel in the Polo if/when it comes over. (Canadians like their diesels much more than in the US.)
I know a guy who's looking to import a 15 year old Audi A2 high efficiency model with the 3 banger.
Haha, I got a 2-door hatchback Chevy Sprint with a Suzuki 3cyl gas engine. No mods, the thing still gets 60mpg. It's the ugliest car I've ever seen though...
Farthest North Aveo: Fairbanks, Alaska
there was a guy on vortex who put on in a 77 rabbit, which the end result shed another 500 lbs versus the a2 it can out of, and he was able to use a taller final drive because of that. i think he was getting like 120 miles per gallon highway without hypermiling. he has the full cut out system and everything in it.Originally Posted by MetroMPG
i also read similar results with people sticking the 1.2tdi engine in a prius and also keeping the "hybrid" part of the system..
Yup... the Kammback and the covers for the rear wheels... I'd keep the covers clear though so the beauty of the MSR's doesn't get restrained.Originally Posted by petrified.rabbit
