The forum was a mess. The mods put in a valiant effort trying to keep things cleaned up, but it was like bailing a sinking boat without an admin helping.

I do have to say that the non-English made me nervous ... gut reaction after spending hours and hours and hours cleaning out the spam.

I suspect a lot of the hiders are people who register, but never post. We get a fair number of those.

can you make it a rule that you gotta post to stay current? I don't see why you would need to register if you don't want to post since you can read all the posts without being registered. The "search" button is there even if you're not logged in, so that rules out registering to search (or access any threads like on aveonetwork for that reason).

Some might register to contact other members. Or so they can see what threads have been updated since their last visit, stuff like that.
