      electrical problem

ok my friend just got a set of projector headlights with the dual halos. i wired them up to a switch. i grounded everything to the chassis, and ran the power wire right from the battery. my question is that the switch stays lit even when in the off position, how can i run the power wire differently without killing the battery when the car isnt running. i dont want to use a relay cause that would just be a waist and the lights dont pull much amperage. thanks in advance.

use a switch without a light? or wire it to an accessory and not directly to the battery?

using a switch without a light is smart, i didnt wire it into an accessory because she wanted the ability to turn them on and off when she wanted, and i read around that a lot of people that wired them into the parking light they wouldnt last as long so instead of taking the whole headlight apart to replace the led i thought it would be easier just to use them when u want.
