And Roger Clyne and the Peace Makers (some former members of The Refreshment) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Sj8CZ4M ... playnext=1
Caroline's Spine http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8d9E-8yGlVo and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zi8wMWInVFs and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADkL0xgjOtI

Everyone but The Megas and RCPM are from Oklahoma, my home state. I haven't really listened to anyone up here in SE Michigan/NW Ohio yet. I like music from the southwest

used to be in a few before i moved but now i havent picked up a guitar in over a year  I used to be in a band call Dark Utopia, we even got to be on TV in Austin on the 4th highest rated music show (Austin City Limits 1, MTV 2, VH1 3, Midnight from Master Control 4). Plus I was in a band called Rhythmic Disturbance for a short time. I even had a change to be with the All American Rejects right before they went big but I didnt persue that one...big mistake... lol

Re: Fave local band/performer/s
yeah i was going to school at Oklahoma State in Stillwater in 2000. I was at the guitar shop and seen a needed sign for some "alt pop band" named all american rejects. Said already had demo out as they had it written. I decided not to call the number, one of the biggest mistakes of my life. I know I would have made it, every audition ive gone too ive had the band offer me a spot.

That made me laugh when they were rocking back and forth like they're cool. I dont see how you can play (or at least play anything that needs talent) like that. I dont like most of the screaming stuff but occassionally I have heard a song I like with it. Good music died in the 80s? Some people say the synth killed it. lol
