GM Corporate Museum Auction
I just read that GM is planning auctioning off many of the lesser important vehicles from its corporate museum at a Barret Jackson event. Two of which are the Aveo Xtremes, as well as some other interesting vehicles.
Here's a link to the story and a list of vehicles.

Re: GM Corporate Museum Auction
i blame barrett-jackson for the huge rise in colletable car prices. that all i have to say about that.
Re: GM Corporate Museum Auction
barrett-jackson has been around for years... and years.
its the fact the society has become "informed" that those prices have been realized, the thing it i don't understand how a concourse quality restoration or an even better unrestored example of a car can have such an impact on the rusted out piece of crap sitting behind some barn.. because they know someone eventually will have enough money to not car how much the initial investment is when they are going to put 200k into it.
maybe i am bias though, i have painted two cars that went on barretts chopping block, and they both received compliments and top dollar for what they were.
i look at it like the antiques road show mentality, one or two stories of people paying 50 cents for something worth a million dollars, and then everyone wants their piece. then they have 400 people who "thought" they were buying a priceless work of something, and turns out they paid more for it than its worth. I think sellers should take all the advantage of those people though.

i dont know. maybe i'm not that informed. some of just seems like price inflation.
