did anyone see this besides me? WTF is going on with this economy. i know fords shares are like down at $2.00 per share, and things are really bad out there. morgan stanley is not going to survive this weekend, but now this??!!

just cus they are mergin dont mean they will stop production of certain cars per say, it will just be under new ownership. dont worry, hopefully gm dont go bankrupt in the process.......

lol they are working on restructuring plans right now to avoid it. even tho it involves closin factories and such, if they keep afloat they keep afloat. if they do go bankrupt, they will still just restructure their company and get out of it like greddy. it will be all good, altho getting warranty work done may be a lil tougher especially if u have anything aftermarket in ur car. u put ur rims on ur car and ur suspension makes wierd sounds they will say its from the rims and now ur not covered. or u have an intake and ur motor blew, they could say the IAT sensor was sending weird readings to the ECU and caused it to lean it out too much or yada yada. just sayin...

GM and Ford will remain solvent without declaring bankruptcy but Cerberus has Chrysler completely mismanaged and without a restructuring plan. Without a merger Chrysler is dead within five years but GM just isn't a good fit. The two companies share the same problems and merging would only make it worse for each. The only savior for Chrysler may be a foreign company (Tata Motors is a candidate) coming in and bailing them out.

chrysler has been bailed out numerous times over the years by different companies.
