Yup. GM sold 5,677 Aveos in 2003.

I don’t know if everybody is up to date on the new engines in the 2009’s, but the timing belt does not need to be changed until 100,000 mile not 60,000 miles like the older modals.

It is known on FitFreak that the Fit is prone to windshield cracks. They used a lightweight/thin windshield and the surface area of the windshield is huge. It definitely isn't scientific, but since I was giving a review, I noted it since that is one of two problems we have had with our Fit and it isn't an isolated incident. Our other problem was the MPG gauge- optimistic by 13%. It was addressed in a TSB from Honda, and I had to argue with them to update our computer. I'm pretty upset about it too, considering we test drove our Fit for 15 miles and were supposedly getting mid 30s MPG in that urban traffic. Come to find out the MPG displayed on the readout was optimistic by 13%.... All of those auto review sites quote the MPG gauge for their tests and are BS as well. All 2009s, unless updated, have incorrect MPG readouts.

Oh, and rocks have been known to destroy the AC and fogs on Fits too... And Honda won't cover it under warranty.

But yeah, I did mention the less maintenance on the Fit in my review. I'm not sure how the service intervals are on the 2009 Aveos, but for the 07s, the service interval on spark plugs =30k, wires=60k. LarsBud, do you know if the service intervals for the 09 Aveo are different from these? The service interval for each of these is 100k.

I take it you're talking about the fit here? They must be, using iridium from the factory then.

Re: Is the Honda Fit that good?

I'm sorry to say, most honda owners I know are completely obnoxious and the line of crap that comes from there mouths is just rediculous. My ex and her mother both owned honda accords and there crap would constantly piss me off. Then I have to hear all these kids with there civics talk crap about how fast there stock cars are because there vtec kicked in yo. I actually had to listen to a kid in my class who wanted to trade his '01 civic for this kids '94 accord because it had vtec. Gaaaah all this vtec talk is irritating me.
