So DLSpeed is about to open a new website, and we were needing a new project car for the site. Needed to be under $1000, but running, and we found one local (like 10 miles away) for $850 and looking/running well. Went today to look at it, talked to the guy for a bit but was in a rush to work and told him I'd be back tomorrow with cash in hand and ready for a test drive and to take delivery. He said cool and we parted.
Got all ready to go get it, transferred funds to one account so we could pay for it, and I get home at 2am to find an email in my mailbox from him, saying "the vehicle has been sold." WHAT A ****ING DOUCHE! I have been on the phone with him for the past week expressing interest, telling him my plans for it and everything, telling him I was ready to buy as soon as I got a test drive, and this is how he says thanks. "The vehicle has sold."
This is why I hate dealing with individuals. They don't care about integrity or morals, only who pays first. He didn't contact me back saying "hey this guy offered more, can you beat it?" or anything. Just took what the other guy offered and ran with it...
****ing bitches... gag...
Now, back to the calm, professional, business owner motif...
Anyone ever dealt with someone like this? Now we have to start our search for a car all over again. We had found 3 other cars we were looking at and the people sold them because we told them we were going with this one. Now it's back to square one and there is nothing in the area.
