No More Jeep = Possibly not bad situation

The Jeep got totalled out by my fiances mother as some of you may know. We got word back from the insurance that they want to give us $6,6xx.xx for it. After very little discussion between my fiance and I, we have decided that we want to get ourselves a 2011 Subaru WRX Impreza. We are going to wait until next year when we get our tax return money back so we can have a nice down payment ready. For some of you who dont know the story behind how we acquisitioned the Jeep, we bought it from my fiances Grandma for $1500. I think we are going to make out ok on this deal, although, I sort of want it back because I miss it.

$20k~ The dealer we go to has been serving my fiance and her family for the last 20 or so years, so she will hook us up on a decent deal. Would I like the STi? Yeh, of course, but Ill settle for the "regular" WRX. We will probably get the hatch cus I want some utility.

Sorry to hear about your friend, that sux ass.

if she's been going to that dealership that long and has that relationship. You should go now and see if they have a car coming off demo.. you might be able to get it for the same price or cheaper, and most of the time its the mileage it has when it is titled that the warranty will start.

and then you dont have to wait for awd fun in the snow.

We want to keep the loan payments down, plus, my fiance turns 25 in Feb and her name is on the insurance so we will have a cheaper insurance rate to start with. The reason its under her name is because even tho she has 3 accidents on her record and i have none, her rate is still half of what I would have to pay with a clean record. Our quote from state farm for just her with the subaru was 120$/month. Its ridiculous and pisses me off. I havent got a peeding ticket in more than 4 years. And the last thing is that she already has a car loan to pay, plus student loans. Im not sure if they will issue her a third loan and for me it would be a second loan. We are going to pay off her car first.

Anyway, the other great thing is that my fiance is totally on board with getting one that has a manual trans and she doesnt want some girly color like light blue, she wants either a black or dark grey. I cant wait to marry this girl haha!

No hunter, no more forums for me, it's hard to keep track of all the ones I'm on. Funny tho cus I still get b-day wishes from a honda forum I haven't touched in a few years.

chevoo, I really could almost walk into a dealership and come out with a brand new aveo paid in full cash, but we want something that has some balls and will be good in any climate (reasonably of course, no car can make it through 3 feet of snow without trouble). So, we are almost dead set for a scoobie.

and finally, hunter, if I felt I was too good for you guys, I would not be here responding to your bitchin about you saying I'm too good for this forum.
