You would enjoy it hunter the way you drive is just like everyone else
I love mashing the brake when people are riding my ass, had several close calls of getting rear ended. I really enjoy the stupid assholes who dont seem to get it so you have to do it a good 4-5x before they will either get off your ass or finally get a chance to pass. I always think, go ahead stupid little compact car, rear end my jeep, I dare ya, see what happens.
You can not commit crimes in a Aveo. Its just not fast enough.
I don't often do this, because the chance of being rear-ended is substantial. I do remember having to resort to it once about 3O years ago with an 18 wheeler. I'll say in advance that over 95% of professional truck drivers are usually alert and have superior driving skills. But the other few percent can be a PITA. So I'm going about 70 in the center lane on a rural interstate and this 18 wheeler keeps crawling up my ass. I accelerate for a while to relieve it, but he does it again and again over time, tailgating me even more. When we got to an upgrade (where I knew it would deflate his ego) I hit the brakes hard - then I took off. It had the intended effect, leaving him with little power to climb the grade.Originally Posted by mikedudley17
BTW, I was driving a '67 Fleetwood Cadillac with a hefty rear bumper, so I wasn't too worried. I probably wouldn't have tried it in a tiny car.
Well, in theory, if someone is slamming a brake in front of you, hunter, you ARE allowed to use the shoulder for your "braking" if someone slams their brakes to "prevent the collision". But since you're on the shoulder, and even with all the braking you're still ahead of the guy who slammed on his brakes... well, you could accelerate on that shoulder and "merge with traffic" ahead of the aforementioned "brake slammer". Just my $0.02 USD.

Not a fan of "brake checks" myself to get rid of tailgaters... but...
I do find that when I move the car conspicuously to the right side of my lane (mostly right lane, the way I drive), when someone's right behind, it often wakes up the driver and then they just go around. I think most tailgaters are just on auto-pilot, not intentionally being annoying.
If the obvious move-over doesn't snap them out of it ... if they still tailgate for no reason when they've got a clear lane to go around, I have accidentally sometimes moved so far to the right that I accidentally kick up a little gravel from the shoulder, accidentally.
That will get people to change lanes and go around too.
no one really tailgates me, i go too fast for that
Can't tailgate what you can't catch??
E-Teeecchhhhhhh!!!!!
How about a police car?Originally Posted by thehunterooo

i've been pulled over twice in 20 minutes 40 miles apart.. not in the aveo.
