Harley has been doing that for a few years now. and not only with black.

yea the rx-8 is the only one that doesnt really look right with the flat black, it looks very unfinished primer like

Actually, if I remember correctly the dealer said they don't do the fianl wet sand and just leave it unfinished...

appearantly the professional way to do it is to spray the normal black base coat and then finish it up with spraying satin finish clear coat and i believe you dont wetsand it...so u gotta really do it in a dustfree enviroment
