If you have ever seen, or remember seeing archive episodes of the Johnny Carson Show before Jay Leno took over, Johnny always had this schtick routine he did at the beginning of each show. His bit was to tell complex, stupid jokes that weren't funny in and of themselves. The funny part was in his subsequently trying to explain the humor after he delivered the punchline. The facial expressions, timing, tone of voice and explanations were what broke people up.
Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, uh, this, this thing here- the joke I set up
, up above? See, I would love for this to be just that same situation as with Johnny. However, the joke was supposed to be the funny part. Oh boy.....
see you mentioned you might be on the list, you know, the troll list here. The poll. The last page or so has dealt with how it's like a political campaign with two runners back and forth. Then the dark horse opponent, me, entered late in the game and that set off a whole new direction for the humor of this being like a campaign where the candidates were seriously vying to win.
Then you came in with your observation but for your going to school you might have been on the list. You know, in the running. It follows to my way of thinking that you missed a chance, an opportunity, a shot. So it was like I was coaching you not to hestitate, jump in, take the chance so that years up the road you wouldn't regret having not "thrown your hat in the ring", so to speak. Get it?
