What cars would you collect, if you could?

What cars would you collect if you had the means, time, and space for them? We all have dream cars. Lets hear what yours are! Make sure to include pictures!

I'll add mine after you guys get the ball rolling.

      Elio
ah, I am waiting on my order of the Elio to come through: It's still a pipe dream, sigh. Here is my own "Cars" drawing of the Elio:

      Now back to reality (not!)

I would love something like White Zombie:

      Porsche 356 Speedster
I just love the looks of this car. Not so sure on the outlaw version.

      Ford Formula 1 EcoBost
Just enjoy the sound. Honestly I could not handle this car

My dream car I have yet to own is a Nissan 280Z. Such beautiful and timeless body lines. Love the long hood. I have no garage space for it (or time really).

I already own another of my dream cars. This is a 1951 Ford F1. They just don't make anything that looks anything like this anymore... Here are some pics from when I went to check it out at my buddie's house. Is currently sitting in my garage waiting for me to have time for it.

There is a guy locally you had a 280 and it was the most beautiful restoration. Sadly I don't have any pictures. That F1 is a beast. It's a work of art just as is. Yes please build that guy and give it the loving care it deserves.

I've own most of the cars I've wanted that I could afford. But I also just bought a mustang, that makes car 176 according to my filing system (also known as a wife). Although I also bought a 2007 passat last week, but I am not going to count that one. I don't count the ones the do not get the title transferred to my name because she doesn't know about those

I am currently starting my search for a pickup. I need something with 4 doors, a manual transmission preferred and it needs to be able to tow. I want a 2000-2004 Tacoma double cab, but then would need to convert it to a manual, which means I might as well through a V8 in it at the same time.. But I think I would settle for a factory 04+ tacoma since they already come in a double cab manual. But both of these are on the smaller side like my current tacoma. So if i can find a RAM or F250 that meets those specs for a cheap price..

Cars I would like would to have (or have again) realistically:

Ultima GTR, although I think the name has changed.
23 window bus or double cab (only had a 13 window)
Chopped Beetle (built one a long time ago, want to build another more extreme version)
      66 mustang fastback
I would like to finish my 75 rabbit project.
      Audi R8
If I could find and import a Swift GTI AWD (Cultus), I would be all over that too.
      Chevette

Things I would pick up for a deal:

      Chevy Nomad
      Crew cab fj cruiser pickup
      ford F1 (like above)
32 ford sedan for a rat rod.
      almost any VW before 1992..
Audi TT ( I am actually thinking about buying 2 of these for my kids, but they are 9 and 10 y/o)
      Anything pre 1968..

Really I think I like building them more than driving them.. so I would pick up anything that inspires me.

I would love to have a nissan Silvia (240sx s13) imported from Japan that's rhd for drifting. A 60s Chevy or GMC truck for towing my 240 would be nice too. But for a daily driver I'd want a new Chevy SS (Caprice ppv). If my one friend would ever sell it I'd buy their 85 Shelby charger or a dodge rampage. My ultimate collector car would be that green Aveo rs concept from 04

Daox - I've owned 4 Z cars over the years, fun cars! I'm actually keeping an eye out for another one in the future, want to pick up my former modification plans - LT1/T56 combo fits great.... Check out the rides on hybridz.org for some radical items

Others I want, but can't necessarily afford:
68-70 El Camino (I just like em)
Porsche 914 (fun to drive, center of gravity about 5 feet underground...)
      23 window bus
      DeTomaso Pantera
      A real Cobra
      69 Mach 1 Mustang (have a 67 and a 68, but that's the one I really want)

If I ever when the lottery, I'd probably be hanging out at the Mecum auctions way too much....

OK. My tastes in cars are...quirky. If I had an unlimited budget to buy whatever I wanted, the list would read something like this (in no particular order).
      Any Corvair
      1978-1993 Saab 900 (and/or any year Saab 96 or 99)
      1967-1973 Plymouth Valiant (slant-6 engine)
      Any Citroën DS
      1978-1985 Mazda RX-7 or 1989-1997 Miata
1970-1974 VW Type 4 air-cooled (With a slight preference for the 412 over the 411)
1967-1997 Toyota Century (Japan's answer to the Rolls-Royce)

Just runnin' around the forum for fun as our Chevy Aveo fades into the sunset....

I am not a super duper car guy but I love machines and here are a few cars I would love to have:

OMG Daox the 'farm trailer' I now own on my property ... the box is from that style of pickup truck.. they took it from the pickup and made a box trailer out of it!! Nice pics.. so here are my thoughts:

-Shelby AC Cobra (original not the fake updated versions) total raw hp danger on wheels, my absolute favorite car wish

-'88/89 BMW 750iL (badass 12 cylinder 5L, looks like my Dad would drive it, total 100mph lounge cruiser, automatic latching doors)

-Ford put out a 25th anniversary 5L Mustang convertible that was called the 7-up, really simple looking, no spoiler, no ground skirts, nothing

-VW Golf Type R (why not, my mechanic buddy got to go on a rip in one, he said it was really impressive)

-Honda Civic Type R (with the wing removed, wouldn't be driving over 120mph)

-Porsche Spyder (mid engine fantasy, wonder if it would be more fun than the AC Cobra tho')
