A couple of my friends ran the "VCW" backyard league up in Pa... they were nuts... Staple guns, barbwire wrapped baseball bats... the last match was a "windshield death match" at the end of the day I think a total of over a hundred stitches were handed out.

I recall larry (the guy who ran VCW) talking about a jersey league that made him cringe (very difficult)... involved a weed whacker.

Never could get into "professional" wrestling, though.

WWE or whatever it is, is painful to watch because its so fake, you can see them "slap" the other guy and there's either a huge gap, or a bad reaction time. Either way its extremely boring to watch. I believe the underground and backyard wrestling it real, but it doesn't make it anymore fun to watch...its still half acting. If it was a real fight it'd look more like the UFC

I didn't do Backyard. But i worked a show in Lancaster, CA as the manager to a WCW Jobber that was matched up with a guy that was a backyard trying to pass him self off as a wrestler. we beat the living CRAP out of him with a rubbermaid trash can and i think we broke some of his ribs on the Stairs to the ring. He thanked us both before he went to the hospital. he was the only guy i ever Stiffed. Backyard guys are just wannabes. kinda like that jerk from nebraska that talked all that trash on the board a few months ago. they try anything that looked cool but didn't have any brains

I was one half the New Age Boarder Patrol. we fought the Roho Loco's (Crazy Red's) My best shows was at WPW the most fun i had was at WPW

To everyone who says wrestling is "fake"...I say SO WHAT! Full House is fake, Star Trek is fake, Transformers is fake, Barny is fake, Saturday Night Live is fake, Days of Our Lives is fake, etc. Even "reality shows" like Survivor is fake. Wrestlers are actors who do their own stunts, trying to entertain (sometimes poorly I will admit.) But what I don't understand is why wrestlers get some much crap, but other actors dont

one is considered better than the other and vice versa, just depends on who u are and what u like.
