The only reason it made that list is by virtue of it being one of "the-10-least-expensive-cars-to-own".

Praise? There is an old phrase that diplomatically refers to guarded derision as "damning with faint praise".

true but the last list was cheap cars not to buy, so this is a little bit of improvement, well, yahoo does hate the aveo though, a freshing change

They're praising 2011 improvement... I think they really are talking about Aveo RS body style... (which from what I understand is not not due till 2012)
