What' the story with the blue door?
Sort of reminds me of the Harlequin VW Golf look...
Got to replace a few more panels to get to that level though!
This is my first car! I bought it from the second owner, making me the third. The second owner didn't have it for very long. He originally got it for his son, but he just had to get rid of a vehicle. The first owner unfortunately had MS, and drove the car a little bit too long, hence all of the dings and dents. I don't mind the aesthetics though, as it runs excellent! Bought it cheap with low miles, I love it I am currently working on my own homemade remote car starter, and I would also like to install a block heater.
Standard 14" stealies with 6 spoke hub caps.
Lots of dings and dents and stuff like that. Not from me though. The previous owner unfortunately had MS and drove it a little too long.
Most of the struts on the front bumper cover are cracked. The back bumper cover was kind of falling off, so we took it off, did a little work to the bumper, and fixed the cover a bit. There are dents in the doors and body, but there is hardly any rust. I am going to work on the rust before winter.
Standard cloth seats.
Standard radio, no CD or cassette. I might make my own navigation / media center.
Standard four cylinder with a 5 speed manual. Not the most power, but it gets me places and it's a lot of fun to drive
Standard suspension. It is really squeaky!

I love it! Very colorful My cousin had an old Audi that had around four colors. I'm not there yet.
I actually bought the car like this. I am the third owner (Second owner was basically reselling it though) The first owner had MS, and drove it a little too long... There are dings and dents all over the place, but that doesn't really bother me. The original red door got smacked, so they replaced it with this blue door. Funny part is, it also got smacked and has a small dent. I don't know if it is noticeable in the picture above, but all of the mounts and door handle and locking hardware is the original red.
This is my first car Bought it cheap with low miles, and I love it! I've been doing some work to it, and I'm looking for a set of winter tires and rims. I'm also working on a homemade remote starter! I'm going to post some more pictures. I figured I would join the forums to be apart of the community of Aveo owners! My brother and uncle also own Aveo's.
Do you know if anyone has the entire service manual with schematics and all? It would help with some of the electrical. Thanks!
Nice. Seen this thread - How much did you pay for your USED Aveo?
Hmm. Not sure. But check in this thread -- the later part of it. The early links are probably dead by now.Do you know if anyone has the entire service manual with schematics and all? It would help with some of the electrical. Thanks!
Aveo Factory Service Manual
I actually appended my Aveo to that thread earlier today. I'll keep looking for the diagrams I need. I was able to download one set, so I'll pilfer through there for now and see what I can come up with.
